Today marks the 170th anniversary of Georgian writer, publicist, and public figure Sophrom Mgaloblishvili, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia reports.
Sophrom Mgaloblishvili's activity developed in the literary direction after his pedagogical and public activities. He was the editor of the newspaper "Chveni Droeba" and "Temi." The writer is the author of various famous stories. Also, he is the author of an extensive autobiographical story, "From The Past," and juvenile stories.
Sophrom Mgaloblishvili is buried at Didube Pantheon of Writers and Public Figures.
