Forty years later, Soso Chkhaidze's multi-series feature film "Shvidkaca" will end. Director Soso Chkhaidze worked on the movie in 1979-87; the National Film Center informed report.ge.
"The film's protagonist, a young film director, collects materials to shoot a diploma film on a Gurian polyphonic song. The audience seems to travel with him and get acquainted with the masters of Gurian folk song. The film also shows the Tbilisi of the 80s with real characters.
Unfortunately, Soso Chkhaidze did not finish the film, but he managed to shoot, edit, and partially work on the sound part of the episodes of Guria. Work on the film will finally be completed with the National Film Center's financial support this year, and viewers will see a seven-part TV feature film.
The post-production process is led by Paata Godziashvili together with producer Nana Zurabishvili. The following works are planned to be carried out: restoration of the existing material, sound cleaning, color correction, recording of part of the dialogues, completion of editing, mixing, production of subtitles and titles," the National Film Center said.
