Within the framework of "Tbilisi - World Book Capital," an audio-musical evening dedicated to the 160th anniversary of Vazha-Pshavela, "Tbilisi Yard - Vazha-Pshavela" was held in cooperation with Artarea and Tbilisi City Hall at 10 Jansug Kakhidze Street. The Deputy Mayor of the capital Andria Basilaia attended the event.

The content of the event was based on the story of Tengiz Abuladze, "Vedrebi," which is based on two works by Vazha-Pshavela, "Aluda Ketelauri" and "Host and Guest." The musical part included compositions and film music by Nodar Gabunia and Soso Bardanashvili.

The compositions were performed by Giorgi Tsagareli, Nikoloz Rachveli, Nato Metonidze, Zagareli & Strings, and musicians of the Georgian National Symphony Orchestra.

The sound designer of the evening was Nika Machaidze. Moderator - Levan Berdzenishvili who spoke about the importance of Vazha-Pshavela's work and the writer's worldview.

The guests also heard various unknown stories about Vazha-Pshavela and excerpts from his work.

The event was also attended by the Ambassador of Israel to Georgia Ran Gidor and the Deputy Chairperson of the Tbilisi City Council, Marika Darchia.

"Tbilisi - World Book Capital" is a UNESCO project.
