On January 9, at 22:00, online screening of the film "Glory to the Queen" will be held by the National Cinema Center club.
The documentary tells about the legendary Georgian chess players - Nona Gaprindashvili, Nana Alexandria, Maya Chiburdanidze, and Nana Ioseliani.
It will be the first public online screening of the film in Georgia since its premiere at the CineDOC-Tbilisi International Festival.
"Glory to the Queen" has already been presented in Austria, Serbia, and Mexico.
"From the early 60s until the collapse of the Soviet Union, for 30 years, these women ruled the world chess realm. They made a revolution and equated women's chess with men's in the international context," Georgia's National Cinema Center reports.
The film will be available in the Facebook Live format on the National Cinema Center's official page. The link will also be available at the National Cinema Center Film Club.
Only viewers from the territory of Georgia will be able to visit the online show.
