A group of foreign UNESCO experts will study the situation in Gelati. They will spend a week examining the shortcomings of the work carried out under the project drawn up in 2008 at the Gelati main temple and issuing relevant recommendations.
Experts will also examine the damaged parts of the wall painting and draw up an action plan. Following the recommendations issued by foreign experts, Georgian specialists will develop an action plan to eliminate the challenges in the Gelati Monastery.
