With the support of Tbilisi City Hall, Mikheil Tumanishvili International Art Festival will be held from October 19 to November 19.
Maguy Marin, French contemporary dance artist will open the festival with her performance- May B. In addition to this American dance legend Carolyn Carlson and her troupe will perform the Crossroads of Synchronicity in Tbilisi.
One of the key events of the 2019 program is the focus on Hispanic Culture which was co-organized with the Ministry of Culture and Sport of Spain and Arts Council. The Festival will officially be opened at the conference at the Rustaveli Theater's Guest Room on October 22. The play This Is Not Bernarda Alba's House will be performed on October 23; Griboyedov Theater will host a performance by Rocio Molina's The Fallen Angel on November 7, which is the winner of the Laurence Olivier Award.
Natalia Menendez, the Artistic Director of the Spanish National Theaters Teatro Español and Naves de Matadero will close Spanish Focus events with the lecture Benefits Of The Theater For The City on November 16. The lecture will share Spanish experiences on theater development and current processes.
The world premiere of the famous Ukrainian director Andriy Zholdak’s King Lear will take place at International Art Festival.
