Levan Gelbakhiani was nominated for the EFA award in the category of the best actor. His competitor is the famous actor Antonio Banderas. The information on the nominated candidates will be provided by EFA today.
Levan Akin, the Director of And Then We Danced film congratulated the actor with the success through his Instagram where he wrote that the participation of Levan Gelbakhiani in the film was quite difficult since Georgia perceives the film as provocation.
“We created the history of modern Georgia and we are responsible to follow this way – said Levan Akin.
The first show of the film And Then We Danced took place in five Tbilisi and Batumi cinema halls on November 8. As a result of the act of protest against the film demonstration 28 persons were detained. One person was injured during the incident at the cinema hall and placed to the hospital.
