The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth of Georgia continues to fill the museum funds with unique exhibits and works of art. According to the decision of the commission for the purchase of museum exhibits of the Museum of Cultural History (Palace of Art), the museum purchased a work of applied art, the so-called "Entrance Clock," with funds allocated by the Ministry of Culture, which, according to legend, belonged to Georgian military leader and general Giorgi Mazniashvili, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth spreads information.

According to them, the stamp on the back of the watch confirms that it was made in Germany at the end of the XIX century, in particular in Berlin (manufacturer G. Ellinghausen, master of the royal court). The item was brought to Georgia by the General of the Russian Army, writer Konstantine Mamatsashvili, after which it was first received as a gift by General Mazniashvili, and then the item was purchased by the citizens of Tbilisi.

The "entrance clock" is made of precious redwood. The clock mechanism is working, and it will be placed in the permanent exposition of the Palace of Arts in the near future.

Since July this year, the Ministry of Culture has been purchasing exhibits for museums. The public has been fully informed.
