The Presidents of Georgia and Poland, Salome Zurabishvili and Andrzej Duda, visited the exhibition of artifacts at the Orbeliani Palace discovered in Kutaisi during the archeological excavations conducted by the Krukowski Interdisciplinary Research Center.

The Georgian-Polish archeological expedition discovered the capital of Kolkheti of the Aeëtes period in Kutaisi, which dates back to 14-11 centuries BC.

"This is the first proof that the mythology of Argonauts can have a historical basis, as it happened in the case of Troy. There seems to be a historical truth hidden behind the myths of Aeëtes, Medea, the Golden Fleece, which needs intensive scientific research. Georgia is preparing to present this sensational discovery to the world scientific community," Kote Natsvlishvili said.

Krukowski Interdisciplinary Research Center has been operating in Kutaisi since 2018.
