Georgian State Academic Folk Song and Dance Ensemble "Rustavi" will hold concerts in all major cities of Ukraine on October 2-31. The choreographic staging has been renewed and will premiere in Ukraine.
Initially, the dancers of the ensemble will leave Tbilisi for Ukraine, who will perform together with the Ukrainian ensemble "Virski." According to Giorgi Natroshvili, the artistic director of the ensemble "Rustavi," the joint concerts of "Rustavi" and "Virski" are well known to the Ukrainian audience.
"We had joint concerts before. In the first section, Ukrainians perform. The second section belongs to the ensemble "Rustavi." The final dance is a joint one, a kind of 'competition,' which the spectators like very much," said Giorgi Natroshvili.
According to Giorgi Natroshvili, from October 25, singers will join Georgian dancers and musicians and present a new project, "Ballad on Love." The last five days of the tour in Ukraine will be dedicated to the solo concerts of the ensemble "Rustavi."
The premiere of the dance "Abkhazian" will be held in Ukraine, where musicians, singers, and dancers will perform the number together.
The first concert will be held on October 3 in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
