Georgian Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth Tea Tsulukiani met with the managers of the Tbilisi State Theater named after M. Tumanishvili.
She briefed the theater management on the ministry's vision of financing theaters by the state.
In Tsulukiani's words, theaters should move to a management model that will cover most of the theater's expenses from their revenues.
The Minister noted that the state would continue to provide financial support to theaters.
Tsulukiani also added that she expects the theater management to develop a development concept.
Besides, the meeting discussed the acute problems facing the theater, mainly related to infrastructure.
