Canadian singer The Weeknd has become a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN World Food Program, Hypebeast writes.
"The United Nations World Food Program is carrying out an urgent and very important work to change and save lives on a daily basis, and I am enthusiastic about solving the problem of world hunger and helping those in need," The Weeknd said.
Earlier, the singer spent a million dollars for the activities of the World Food Program in Ethiopia. He chose Ethiopia deliberately because his parents came to Canada from this very country.
