To celebrate the 130th anniversary of Galaktion Tabidze, the Korneli Kekelidze Georgian National Centre of Manuscripts exhibited hitherto unknown manuscripts of the poet - the poet's personal letters, unpublished poems: "Old Tower," "Melody," "Cross of Torture," "Letter to Mother," Giorgi Kuchishvili's unknown letter to Galaktion, the poem "Ash," of which only a part of the modified version has been published, sketches of the poet and other things.
Part of Galaktion Tabidze's archive was purchased by the National Centre of Manuscripts from a private person. Part of the money will be spent on developing memorial sites associated with the name of Galaktion in Chyvish.
Unpublished manuscripts are great news for scholars interested in Galaktion's work. The viewer will have the opportunity to see the hitherto unknown manuscripts of Galaktion in the exhibition hall of the Georgian National Centre of Manuscripts by the end of the year.
