The Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia together with Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ilham Aliyev has launched the Trans-Anatolian portion of the pipeline TANAP project in Turkey.

The cost of the project is 10 billion USD. Its current annual throughput is 16 billion cubic meters of gas. The figure is planned to be increased in the future. Hence in 2023 the throughput will be 23 billion cubic meters and in 2026 – 31 billion of cubic meters.

As of the current data, Georgia gets 5% of the whole volume of the transit gas from Azerbaijan to Turkey which equals 300 million cubic meters per year. Georgia will get annual 1.1 billion cubic meters for the transit of 23 billion cubic meters in the future.
