Head of the Department of Labor Inspections of Georgia, Beka Peradze, presented statistics on inspections of hotels and restaurants across Georgia.
"A total of 1,607 hotels were to be checked nationwide," he said.
In his words, 588 hotels have met requirements, and the Inspection provided them with permits to operate.
Three hundred twenty-six hotels failed to pass check and were not granted any permit. Six hundred ninety-three hotels asked for the test later.
"As for restaurant inspections, a total of 54 restaurants and catering facilities were inspected. Twenty-three of them were subjected to sanctions because they did not meet the established requirements," Peradze said.
