According to Irakli Khmaladze, Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi within the framework of the Cab reform, around 70% of the 26,000 licensed vehicles have undergone mandatory technical inspections and only 30% of them are not meeting minimum technical standards.
"The number of cabs assigned to category A allows me to say that the reform was successful. The Cab reform will not end on October 1st, there still are things that we need to do to improve cab service and after several years we will be able to evaluate the reform” stated Khmaladze.
