In 2020, 79.4 million US dollars worth of Georgian products were sold for export to Azerbaijan. We are talking about products created and made in Georgia, not re-export.
This volume of exports is 3.3% of Georgia's total local exports. Azerbaijan ranks ninth in the top ten largest exporters of Georgia.
Statistics show that the export of Georgian products to the neighboring country in annual terms (compared to 2019) decreased by 8.4%.
In 2019, $ 86.6 million worth of Georgian products were exported to Azerbaijan, equal to 3.7% of total domestic exports.
In 2020, the share of the ten largest countries in the total domestic exports of Georgia amounted to 78.6 percent.
Most Georgian products sold for export in 2020 were to China ($ 459.4 million), Russia ($ 401.2 million), and Bulgaria ($ 310.4 million); followed by Turkey, Ukraine, Switzerland, Armenia, Spain, Azerbaijan, USA.
Georgian products worth 515.3 million dollars were sold in other countries.
