According to BMG the direction of the airway in Abastumani sky can change. International companies that use the current airway will have to take different roads, but before any changes are made both national and international legislation requires some changes.
According to Shota Inasaridze, a Senior Researcher at the Observatory there are 3 airways above the observatory which impedes their working process.
The observatory has been talking about the need to move airways for years and only now the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development started talking about this possibility.
