Georgian National Astrophysical Observatory in Abastumani will be under the control of the Ministry of Education and Science.
According to the document, Ilia State University will have an independent scientific-research unit, Evgeny Kharadze National Astrophysical Observatory. According to the same resolution, Evgeny Kharadze National Astrophysical Observatory will be established.
According to the government's decision, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports will control the state observatory. The Ministry should ensure the appointment of the Observatory's authorized person, as well as approval of the statute of the Observatory and other measures prescribed by the law.
As stated in the resolution, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and Ilia State University must ensure that reorganization measures are implemented within two months since the enactment of the resolution.
