The "Agar Sugar" factory will start rehabilitation works in March, and the production process will resume in April. It is planned that the plant will process 70,000 tons of raw sugar by the end of the year. As Alkhan Alizade, the General Director of Agar Sugar, told report.ge, the negotiations with the government have been completed successfully, and there are all conditions for the factory to continue operating. As Alizade points out, the conditions are the same as last year, when production was allowed to open.
In particular, as Alizade says, the company received a discount on natural gas and railway-logistics services, the benefit of which will remain in force this year.
"We will start works at the factory in March, and from April it is planned to launch the factory at full capacity, employing up to 500 people. The plant will operate till the end of the year, and it is planned to process up to 70,000 tons of sugar raw materials. Last year we had to stop the activity. There was a planned stop due to the crisis. Hopefully, this year we will no longer be in danger," Alizade said.
