The Agriculture Ministry of the Adjara region of Georgia has presented its annual report.
Head of the Adjara government Tornike Rizhvadze and Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili attended the presentation.
Farmers and entrepreneurs were awarded at the ceremony for their deeds in the field of agriculture.
As Tornike Rizhvadze said, the year of 2019 was distinct in terms of agriculture.
He praised the tangerine harvest and the events in support of Georgian farmers.
''I want to thank the Georgian Agriculture Ministry and Adjarian Ministry of Agriculture as well,'' he said.
As Tite Aroshidze, the Minister of Agriculture of Adjara, says, the 2019 budget was 15,362.854 GEL.
1,608.324 GEL was spent on agriculture and 4,754.530 GEL on the development of the forestry infrastructure and environmental protection.
