Ekaterine Tikaradze, the Minister of Health of Georgia announced that several innovative technologies will be introduced to Georgian healthcare sector. These include a telemedicine unit that will diagnose patients. Another initiative of the Minister are electronic patient cards.
"Telemedicine is much more than just a standard service. Digital healthcare provides impressive capabilities that make people much more independent in managing their own health. With telemedicine unit we can easily do medical research, get information about patients health and detect disease at early stages", the Minister said.
