Azerbaijan is among Georgia's leading trade partners, the updated National Statistics Office of Georgia data show. Per these data, in January-March of 2021, commodity turnover in Georgia, undeclared goods not included, amounted to USD 2,773.2 mln which is 0.3 percent less than that of the last year. Georgia exported most of its products to China, Russia, and Azerbaijan in the first three months of 2021. 

As 2021 January-March trading data show, Georgia's largest importing countries are Turkey, Russia, and China. 

Azerbaijan ranks fourth on the list of top ten importing countries, with its 145.7 mln imported products, accounting for 5.9% of the country's total imports. Azerbaijan has reduced its annual imports by 11.4%; however, the country still remains among the top five importers in Georgia. 

In January and March 2021, the share of ten top trade partners in Georgia's total trade turnover accounted for 72.2 percent. The country's leading trade partners are Turkey (USD 419.0 mln), Russia (USD 329.8 mln), and China (292.6 mln USD). Azerbaijan ranks fourth among Georgia's largest trade partners. In January and March 2021, Georgia exported products worth $104.5 mln to Azerbaijan, while the latter imported products worth 145.7 mln to Georgia.  Accordingly, Georgia's negative balance of trade with Azerbaijan stands at $41.2 mln.
