In January-July 2020, Azerbaijan imported 114,0 thousand petrol and diesel to Georgia, equaling 18.7% of total imports, the Union of Oil Importers of Georgia reports.

In January-July 2020, Russia imported the most significant volume of petrol and diesel to Georgia, totaling 212.8 thousand tonnes and 35.0% of total imports.

The countries given below follow Russia:

- Azerbaijan - 114.0 thousand tonnes (18.7%);

- Romania - 110.3 thousand tonnes (18.1%);

- Turkmenistan - 55.3 thousand tonnes (9.1%);

- Bulgaria - 46.9 thousand tonnes (7.7%);

- Kazakhstan - 26.2 thousand tonnes (4.3%);

- Greece - 25.2 thousand tonnes (4.1%);

- Turkey - 9.6 thousand tonnes (1.6%);

- Austria - 2.6 thousand tonnes (0.4%);

- Singapore - 2.0 thousand tonnes (0.3%);

- United Arab Emirates - 2.0 thousand tonnes (0.3%);

- Switzerland - 1.1 thousand tonnes (0.2%);

- Hong Kong - 0.3 thousand tonnes (0.1%).

Georgia received 608.3 thousand tonnes of petrol and diesel in the reporting period, which is 27.0 thousand tonnes (4.6%) more than in the same period in 2019 (581.3 thousand tonnes).

In July 2020, the petrol and diesel, imported to Georgia, totaled 110.4 thousand tonnes, being 11.4 thousand tonnes (11.5%) more than in the previous month (99.0 thousand tonnes), and 23.4 thousand tonnes (26.9%) more than in July 2019 (87.0 thousand tonnes).
