As reported by the Union of Oil Importers of Georgia, the most significant volume of petrol and diesel was imported from Russia in Jan – May 2020.
The Russia-imported volume was 136,6 thousand tonnes, totaling 34,2% of the import entire rate.
Russia is followed by:
Romania - 73,4 thousand tonnes (18,4%)
Azerbaijan - 65,3 thousand tonnes (16,4%)
Turkmenistan – 46,7 thousand tonnes (11,7%)
Bulgaria – 31,6 thousand tonnes (7,9%)
Greece – 17,3 thousand tonnes (4,3%)
Kazakhstan – 17,1 thousand tonnes (4,3%)
Turkey – 9,1 thousand tonnes (2,3%) and others.
The petrol and diesel import included 86,0 thousand tonnes in May in Georgia, while in January – May 2020, it equaled 398,9 thousand tonnes, lagging behind the 2019 Jan – May rate by 1,3%.
