Azerbaijan sees nine percent decline in exports

Azerbaijan has seen a nine percent decrease in its export rate.

In January –May 2020, Azerbaijan exported goods of 721 mln USD value to the United States, and the volume of the shipped goods is 8,9% less than it was in the same period in 2019.

The June "Export Review," published by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications of Azerbaijan (CAERC), reads it.

During the reporting period, non-oil sector products were exported to the following countries: Russia - 271 million USD, Turkey - 144.3 million USD, Switzerland - 71.5 million USD, Georgia - 70.5 million USD, China - 23.6 million USD.

From an annual point of view, non-oil exports to Russia increased by 3.6%, to Switzerland - by 26%, and to China - by 40.3%.

The first place in the structure of the export of non-oil sector goods is occupied by tomatoes (123.1 million USD), the second place is gold (64.7 million USD), and the third is peeled hazelnuts (51 million USD).

From the financial point of view, in May, Azerbaijani export of non-oil products equaled 172.6 million USD.
