The total volume of Russian natural gas transit to Georgia through Azerbaijan will be 150 million cubic meters. This is stated in the agreement signed between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the Russian company Gazprom Export. According to Ibrahim Akhmedov, the Deputy Head of Public Relations and Event Management at SOCAR, the agreement between SOCAR and Gazprom Export stipulates one-month terms for Russian gas transit to Georgia through Azerbaijan.

"According to this agreement, 150 million cubic meters of gas will be supplied to Georgia via Azerbaijan," Akhmedov said.

On March 16, Gazprom Export and SOCAR signed a short-term agreement, according to which Russia will temporarily supply gas to Armenia via Azerbaijan. The reason is the repair work on the pipeline. After the completion of the repair works, the gas transportation will be resumed through Georgia.

Recently, the President of Azerbaijan , Ilham Aliyev, said that Azerbaijan is ready to "turn the page of rivalry" to work honestly with neighbors to ensure a better and more predictable situation in the region.
