Azerbaijani gas exports to Turkey see 15.8% growth

In January-March 2021, Azerbaijan exported 3 bln CBM of gas to Turkey, which exceeds the exported volumes in January-March 2020 by 15.8%, according to the Energy Ministry of Azerbaijan.  

Gas produced by Shah Deniz is transported to Turkey via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzrum pipeline and TANAP. 

Gas was first transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzrum pipeline to Turkey in 2007, while on 30 June 2018, gas was delivered to Turkey via TANAP. 

In the first three months of 2021, around 1.1 bln CBM of Azerbaijani gas was transported to Europe. 

It is noteworthy that Turkey and European countries are supplied by Azerbaijani gas through Georgia.
