The number of tourist arrivals to Georgia from Azerbaijan plummeted by 90.3% in March 2021, Report News Agency informs, citing the March report by the National Bank of Georgia. Annual figures dropped by 73.4% last month. Of total visitors, 91.7% were tourists, 64.4% lower than their percentage in 2020. 

Likewise, fewer visitors have arrived in Georgia from Armenia (an 82.8% drop), and Russia (an 85.7% decrease). 

Tourist flow from Georgia to Azerbaijan has reduced by 11.9. Azerbaijan received 117,200 people from 128 countries in the first three months of 2021, down 4.4-fold from the previous year. 

In January and February of 2021, the number of tourist arrivals from Georgia to Azerbaijan also shrank by 16.3, while visitors from Azerbaijan to Georgia plummeted by 37.5. 

As the Georgian National Tourism Administration data have it, a total of 3,950 Azerbaijani tourists visited Georgia in February of 2021. Annual tourist numbers from Azerbaijan have reduced by 95.8% and by 93.3% if compared to the data of February of 2019. In January of 2021, Georgia hosted 3,138 Azerbaijani visitors (a 97.5% drop if compared to the 2020 data and a 96.6% if compared to the data of January of 2019).
