The Georgian government is discussing a VAT reform at the session today, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said before the meeting.
According to Gakharia, after the conduction of the reform, the VAT management will be the same in Georgia, as it is in the EU. It will help the business to efficiently implement the opportunities provided by the free trade regime with the EU.
''The Finance Ministry presents the bill, aimed at the VAT management to be the same like it is in the European Union. It will naturally support the Georgian business, namely, the average business sector to take more contract-based obligations and rapidly and efficiently implement the opportunities given by free trade regime Georgia has with the EU,'' Gakharia stated.
