Work to supply Kalbajar, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Zangilan, Gubadli, and Agdam liberated from the Armenian occupation is underway. Nine electrical substations are being built in these areas. Two small hydropower plants in Suqovuşan have been reconstructed. The construction and rehabilitation of two small power plants are set to be launched in Kalbajar.
One substation started functioning in the city of Shusha yesterday. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, their daughters Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva were present at the opening ceremony. The new substation will connect the city of Shusha with the general energy system of Azerbaijan.
A 110-kV Shusha substation and a 75-kilometer overhead power transmission line connect Shusha to the Fizuli lighthouse substation. The substation is fully digital.
It is noteworthy that the foundation is being laid for the Green Energy zone in Karabakh.
