The novel coronavirus epidemic has changed the life quality in Georgia and re-arranged the priorities.
First, the coronavirus pandemic stressed the importance of the improvement of the regions' role. Reports say the agrarian sector will further develop, but as Head of Small and Average Business Association, Mikheil Chelidze says, the village will have a function to save tourism as well.
''In 2020 and afterwards, it will no longer be a priority to spend vacations abroad,'' he says, adding regions will be more active.
''In the 1990s, many people spent holidays in villages, and now we see the same trend. Earlier, people had no money and could not travel abroad, but everyone will try to rest in Georgia amid coronavirus fears,'' Chelidze said, adding it will strengthen the role of the regions.
''The infrastructural development [of villages] will be one of the significant components that will lead to increasing interest in regions,'' scholar Avto Silagadze says.
