The information spread about the tariff increase on New Year days is incorrect. According to Report.ge, this was stated by the Chairperson of the National Energy and Water Regulatory Commission, Davit Narmania.
"The public always has information from the GNERC about the change of tariffs or any other decision of the commission. Therefore, we will definitely inform the population if there is any change. I emphasize that the information spread about the increase of electricity tariffs on New Year days is incorrect. There are no plans to increase tariffs," said Davit Narmania.
At the same time, according to him, in 2021, a total of 7-megawatt HPPs got put into operation, which is an important step for the country's energy independence.
