Deputy Economic Minister says EU hails Georgian exports

''The EU is the best example which hails the product exported from Georgia,'' Genadi Arveladze, Deputy Economic Minister of Georgia, said today.

In his words, since the Free Trade Agreement with the EU effect (2014), the number of Georgia-originated products reached 31% from 22% in the European Union.

''Thus, the percentage rate is high, and the share of Georgian products from total exports to the EU is 89%. A total of 910 companies are those conducting exports to the EU,'' Genadi Arveladze said.

According to him, Georgia annually exports new products to the EU, for example, fresh fruit, furniture, glass bottles, honey… ''The number of the products has increased since 2014,'' he said.

In Genadi Arveladze's words, Georgia successfully fulfills the commitments defined in the Association Agreement with the EU.
