As reported by the United Airports of Georgia, managed by the Economic Ministry, all international and local airports, showed the increased number of passengers except the Tbilisi one.

The 16% decrease in the passengers' number at Tbilisi airport in January 2020 led to a 3% drop in the total flow of passengers in Georgia.

As for the local airports, the number of passengers experienced a 60% growth in Mestia Queen Tamar Airport, reaching 641 in January 2020.

Ambrolauri Airport, which dates back three years, served 88 people in January 2020, and the number of passengers decreased by 18% compared with the same period of 2019.

In January, only seven flights were conducted from Natakhtari to Ambrolauri and vice versa due to severe climate conditions.

Georgia's local airports experienced the growth of the passengers' number in January 2020.

Media and Ambrolauri airports had 729 passengers in total in January 2020. The number exceeds the same rate of 2019 (508 passengers in January 2019), with 44%.
