This year, eggs exported from Georgia only to Azerbaijan (in shell, fresh, canned, or boiled).
Last year, the egg export market was more diversified in 2019, eggs exported from Georgia under the 0407 trademark to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
As for egg exports to Azerbaijan, it is slightly higher than last year. Last year it amounted to 217.6 tons, worth 871.4 thousand dollars, and this year the number is 255.1 tons, worth 824.9 thousand dollars.
As for last year's exports in total, in 2019, Georgia exported 278.0 thousand eggs worth 1,198.1 thousand dollars to Armenia, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, in the first nine months of this year, Georgia bought 2,042.2 thousand dollars worth of eggs. A total of 2,576.3 tonnes of poultry eggs (shelled, fresh, canned, or boiled) were imported into the country under the 0408 trademark this year.
