In the first half of 2020, the electricity transit through Georgia from Azerbaijan to Turkey equaled 82.2 GWh. Compared to Jan - July 2019, this indicator increased by 3.5 times. It is 34.0% less than in 2016, the international consulting and analytical organization Galt & Taggart reports.
In the first half of 2020, Georgia exported electricity to Turkey (51.8% of total exports), Armenia (38.4%), and Azerbaijan (9.9%).
In the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported power to Georgia (52.9% of total imports) and Russia (47.1%).
