As reported by the National Bank of Georgia, in February 2020, the registered external trade deficit increased by 14,8% than in February 2019.

The rate reached 440.1 million USD.

The registered export rate decreased by 0,5% annually in the report period and reached 263,6 million USD.

The imports grew by 8,6% and hit 703,7 million USD.

In February 2020, the imports increased by 8,6% than in February 2019.

The imports increased from the following regional countries: Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Ukraine.

As for the EU countries, the import rate from Germany and France increased.

The imports of cars and tobacco also grew from the United States.

Besides, the import rate from Russia and Armenia, as well as from China, decreased.
