''We saw no inflation in December and January,'' Georgian Finance Minister Ivane Machavariani said while delivering his speech in the Parliament of Georgia.
He added that inflation will return its target level in the second half of the year.
''In the second half of 2019, the inflation rate exceeded the target rate and hit 7% at the end of the year, while the average annual rate included 4,9%. Notably, the policy conducted by the National Bank of Georgia already influenced the inflation processes, and we see it is decreasing,'' he said.
In Machavariani's words, inflation decreased due to the right economic and financial policy.
