According to Turkish media, the first Turkish export train to China will leave the country on December 8 and stop in Akhalkalaki. The train left Istanbul on December 4. According to the plan, the train should cover 8,693 kilometers in 12 days. It will cross two continents, two seas, cross five countries, and deliver cargo to China in 12 days.

The train loaded with Turkish products will go to China via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway.

The train stopped for a while in Kocaeli province of Turkey and then continued in the direction of Georgia. After stopping in Akhalkalaki, the freight train will arrive in Azerbaijan, then in Kazakhstan, and finally in the Chinese province of Xi'an.

The train is loaded with home appliances made in Turkey. The cargo is placed in 42 containers.

According to the Minister of Economy, the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway is the shortest route between China and Europe, reducing the freight and increasing Georgia's competitiveness in this corridor.
