From October 1, Wizz Air will conduct flights from Kutaisi International Airport to Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.
The flights will be conducted two times a week (Thursday and Sunday).
Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will operate the new direct regular flights. It is a newly-founded airline by the Wizz Air Hungary.
It is the first airline created by Wizz Air outside Europe.
As the director of the "United Georgian Airports," Tamar Archuadze says, the new, non-European destination from Kutaisi International Airport indicates that Wizz Air has long-term plans in Georgia's market.
"We are happy to see that Wizz Air still confirms to be our reliable and important partner. The direct regular air links between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates means that our country, namely, the Imereti region, will enjoy access to a new tourism market,'' she said.
Airbus A321neo will conduct regular flights from Kutaisi to Abu Dhabi.
