With plenty of lands available in Batumi and little restriction on development, new projects are popping up in the city to cater for the uplift in demand. Forbes also mentions favorable prices compared to other European coastal hubs. In 2018-2019 a total of 22 759 buildings was constructed based on the demand. The average price per square meter building is $37. The majority of the buyers are foreigners.
