Azerbaijani low-budget airline Buta Airways will fly with increased frequency on the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku air route. According to the application submitted to the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency, from June 23, the airline will start operating in this direction daily, and from July 20 until the end of the summer navigation season (October 28), Buta Airways will operate regular flights on the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku route 14 times a week. Flights with Embraer 190 and Airbus 319 / Airbus 320 aircraft will be operated twice a day.

The Civil Aviation Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia granted the necessary permissions to the airline for regular air traffic on June 18 of 2021. Buta Airways, a low-budget airline, based under the auspices of Azerbaijan Airlines, entered the Georgian aviation market in 2017.
