Georgia develops safe transport hub protocol

Georgia has developed the protocol for a safe transport hub and provided it to all its neighbors and partners, reads the annual report presented by the Georgian government to the Parliament of Georgia.

Following the document, Georgian aviation faces an unprecedented challenge due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, like the aviation of the other countries.

"In Jan – March 2020, the number of cargos processed by the international airports of Georgia totaled 4,000 tonnes. The number lags behind the one in the same period of 2019 by 26.4%, as regular passenger flights are suspended," the report says.

Under the report, Georgia's airports provided 0.7 mln passengers with service in Jan – March 2020, and the number lags behind 2019 one by 30.1%.

As the government notes, no regular and charter flights with cargos have not seen any restrictions or charter passenger flights.
