Officials of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia held a meeting with exporters and directors of peach processing factories in Gurjaani, Kakheti region.

They discussed the issues of the organized mode of collection, placement, and sales of peach.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Solomon Pavliashvili and Kakheti Governor Irakli Kadagishvili examined the distribution location in the village of Chumlaki, selected to ensure safe and unhindered export of peach amid coronavirus fears.

Employees of phytosanitary, information, and advisory and customs departments will work in the distribution area.

Foreign drivers will act under a one-window principle and receive all required documents for the sale of the products.

"We expect a plentiful harvest of peach. The projected volume is approximately 35,000 tonnes,'' Solomon Pavliashvili said, adding that farmers, producers, and exporters should follow the safety rules.
