''It seems the novel coronavirus pandemic has less affected the agriculture in the Kakheti region,'' Kakheti Governor Irakli Kadagishvili says.

In Kadagishvili's words, there have been no problems for the harvest's storage and sales, and the farmers were satisfied.

As Kakheti Governor Kadagishvili reports, many new refrigeration plants were established in the region. He shows satisfaction with the peach harvest.

In his words, the exports encounter no problems and about 1,800 tonnes of peaches have already been exported.

''Both the quality and quantity of the harvest is good, and the price is also excellent,'' he claimed.

Yesterday, Minister of Agriculture Levan Davitashvili visited the Kakheti region to see the peach categorization process.

He said the peach harvesting process is underway successfully.

As a reminder, one kg peach costs about two GEL.

A total of 20 refrigeration plants operate in the region currently.
