According to the National Statistics Office, Georgia exported 51.9 tons of corn to Azerbaijan in the first eight months. In monetary terms, corn exports to Azerbaijan amounted to 284.0 thousand dollars.
Corn exported under trademark 1005 got transported from Georgia to Azerbaijan entirely by road. Exports were made only in February and March, which means that the country exported corn to Azerbaijan produced last year, as the country starts harvesting corn every year from the end of September until the end of October.
As for the previous year, in the first eight months of 2019, 42.5 tons of corn worth 210.4 thousand dollars were sold to neighboring Azerbaijan under the 1005 trademark.
