In January – April 2021, Georgia imported 59,000 tonnes of oil and oil products from Azerbaijan, with a total value of 27,5 million USD.
Under the Geostat data, imports of Azerbaijani oil and oil products increased by 38,7%.
In general, the export rate of the Azerbaijani oil products increased. Under the customs declarations, Azerbaijan exported 388 311,66 tonnes of oil products, costing 163,409,16 USD in Jan – Apr 2021.
The volume of oil products exported from Azerbaijan increased by 10,7% in Jan – Apr 2021, while the cost increased by 51,3%. The oil products exports share equaled 2,57% in the total rate.
In Jan – March 2021, Azerbaijan processed 1,4 million tonnes of oil. This rate dropped by 93,000 tonnes compared to the same period of 2020.
The total cost of the oil products production equaled 810,3 million manats in Jan – March in Azerbaijan. It is 13% less than the 2020 Jan – March rate.
The SOCAR oil processing factory is the only oil processing complex in the region, significantly ensuring the needs of the Azerbaijani oil requirements.
Azerbaijan is the largest provider of oil products for Georgia.
