Head of the National Tourism Administration of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili met with German and French Ambassadors Hubert Knirsch and Diego Colas and discussed the collaboration and creation of safe tourism hubs and 'green' zones between the countries.

The officials also discussed the resumption of flights between the countries and the introduction of travel protocols.

''The meeting with the German and French ambassadors was fruitful. The meeting applied to possible tourist flows under a safe hub principle. The parties highlighted that Georgia is one of the safest destinations in the world. They also praised Georgia's efforts to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic. We are grateful for the evaluation. We discussed particular ways to gradually and carefully lift tourism restrictions to ensure our nation's and international visitors' safety,'' Mariam Kvrivishvili said.

As French Ambassador to Georgia Diego Colas stated, France is keen on supporting the revival of the Georgian economy.

''I am pleased that Georgia is opening tourism season this summer,'' Diego Colas said.
