"Western democracy is still advancing: Just look at Georgia,'' reads the title of an article by Andrew Rosindell, British Conservative MP and Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee published by Euroactive.

He says Georgia was the first European country that has signed a trade deal with the UK after Brexit.

''The Georgian Dream government has implemented significant economic reforms and modernization – the World Bank judges Georgia as 7th in the world for "Ease of Doing Business,'' the article reads.

"There has also been major progress in the area of democratic reforms, although more still needs to be done. The EU, US, and UK governments have welcomed the recent electoral reform signed on 8 March as a major step forward in entrenching democracy and moving Tbilisi closer to NATO and the West,'' Rosindell says.
